Season 1905–06 was the 29th season in which Dumbarton competed at a Scottish national level, entering the Scottish Combination League for the first time and the Scottish Qualifying Cup for the fourth time. == Overview == After an absence of four seasons, Dumbarton returned to competitive professional football when an application to join the Scottish Combination League was accepted. A slow start meant that just 3 points were taken from the first four fixtures, but Dumbarton then went on a 15 match winning streak to win the title with some ease. This resulted in promotion to Scottish League Division 2. However the attempt to qualify for the Scottish Cup was short-lived following a second round defeat in the Scottish Qualifying Cup to Hamilton. Locally, the Dumbartonshire Cup was played on a league basis. Three teams entered with the top two in the league to play off in the final. Dumbarton finished as runner up in the league and lost out to Vale of Leven in the final. During the season, 13 'other' matches were played, including an impressive win over a strong Rangers side. Of these matches, 9 were won, 3 drawn and just 1 lost, scoring 43 goals and conceding 16. Note that Dumbarton had scored 119 goals in all matches during the season, the fourth time that the 'century' had been broken. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「1905–06 Dumbarton F.C. season」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
